I'd love to know what he's said to big John to explain his omission

You only got 1 on Saturday, Ollie got 2, quantity over quality. You'll get your chance.

Villa v Young Boys at the Wankdorf stadium. Schoolboys everywhere will be sniggering up their sleeves.

The Champions League anthem is going to hit hard in about 40 minutes. It’s going to represent an incredible 5 or so years of rebirth. From the pain of relegation, to nearly going out of business, Dean Smith promotion, teetering with relegation again to the arrival of Unai and all that has happened since. We as Villa brothers and sisters have gone through a lot. But today marks another new and progressive chapter for us. Let’s all enjoy it and drink it in.

My mate rather unsubtly quipped the Beeb will definitely want to show this one.

8 years ago today we were about to draw 0-0 away to Ipswich under RDM.

6 years tomorrow we beat Rotherham 2-0 at home, Bruce gave it the big one to critics and fans after the game. He didn't win another game as Villa manager.
