Not necess-celery. I remember Bailey doing one last season and he was rested.

After I posted it, it did occur to me that it might just be a language thing.

AVFC Support - have informed our fans that a number of seats in the away section are broken or damaged, could be interesting trying to find your seat.

We should have gone over and checked the seats and mended them.

I'm looking forward to this. It's been far, far too long.

Yep.  The game is overshadowed by yesterday's sad news, but it's an important one in terms of it being our first game back in this competition and that it's one of the games we should be looking to get a result from if we want to qualify to the next stage.

I think this will be hard on their irregular pitch.

Hoping for a win but not surprised if we get less

I think it will give our full backs more room to 'bomb on'.

Perfect for our asymmetrical full back system.

I was wondering about that when the draw was made. Quite a few European countries don't allow the betting sponsors.

Principal Partners, Betano, have kindly donated the space back to Aston Villa and the club have, in turn, donated the space to Acorns.

The club’s long-standing relationship with the hospice goes back to 2008 when they were a permanent fixture on the shirts.

Chris Heck, President of Business Operations at Aston Villa, said: “We are delighted that Betano came to us to offer up the opportunity and ask who are the best beneficiaries of the space.

“It was an absolute no-brainer to bring Acorns back onto the front of shirt, an organisation close to the hearts of everyone involved with Aston Villa.”

Julio Iglesias, Chief Commercial Officer of Kaizen Gaming, added: “With all partnerships, CSR is a major part of the conversation from the beginning in terms of how we give back.

“As part of that, to walk the walk, we have a first step to help Aston Villa; donating the space on the shirt for the first Champions League game to an organisation close to Aston Villa’s hearts.”

Vicki Rowles, Director of Fundraising at Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “We are extremely honoured to have our logo featured on Aston Villa’s shirts for their UEFA Champions League debut against Young Boys.

“Help can’t wait for the children and families who desperately need us. Thanks to the support of Aston Villa and the global exposure of the Champions League, we can reach even more families in need.

“We’re truly grateful to our friends at Aston Villa for their continued dedication to Acorns. We wish the team the very best of luck for tonight’s game.”
