Bloody hell that's an atrocious team. The worst they have ever brought to VP I reckon. Certainly in my life time.

Uh-oh, famous last words.

Have an awful feeling about this one.  Crowd a bit flat after recent weeks - Everton desperate - Ollie off form.  Can see a 0 - 1

The worry is our defence can't keep a clean sheet and if Konsa is out thats a big blow

When you think about it Everton are exactly what we were a decade ago.

September 2014 we were aimless, defensive and dull on and off the pitch. That month also memorably saw Paul Lambert awarded a new four year deal.

We had another four and a half year's of pain before we finally started moving in a consistent upward direction so I think Evertonians are being optimistic if they think a new ground will just sort everything out.

They could easily go down this season which will be a shame for Goodison's final stand but they need a reset at some stage.

3-1 win. We should be scoring a couple against their backline and you'd expect Ollie to look sharper and finally get off the mark.

I agree. I think they will finally drop this season.

Everton had lots of awful teams in the 90s & 00s pre-Moyes. This is just another one.

We’re going to smash the fuck out of this lot. Surprised by some of the doom and gloom. They’re shit. We’re not.

This is a game where anything other than a win is a terrible result. I do genuinely mean that, it’s just a game we have to win.

It’s really only complacency that would allow Everton to get anything from this. I don’t think our manager or leaders in the team will allow that to happen.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Onana gets on against his old club as it adds it an extra edge on both sides.

Anyone need a ticket or two for this one? I have 1x adult and 1x u14 in the Witton Lane stand. Me and my boy can no longer make it. Will sell both for the price of the adult ticket.

There is nothing certain in life other than death and taxes, so I won’t be taking anything for granted.
They did a number on us in the cup and will try a repeat performance.
They will sit deep and play long ball , they are shit at the back so an early goal would be nice.

Similar size ground to us, big club, won mostly fuck all and making up the numbers for the last 30 years.
Similar age also . Both Founder members . Both seen better days etc . Someone said it might be the most played fixture too.

Undefeated in last 11 Prem League matches v Everton.
Last lost to them in League in 2016
Since promoted back to Prem have played 6 won 5 and drawn one at Villa Park
Scored 11 conceded 1.
we did lose to them in the League Cup last season and only drew at Goodison (robbed by VAR and poor reffing)
Yes I was only talking about Prem because the league cup match was a different thing altogether.
Undefeated against Everton and I do find it's a match at Villa Park that more likely to win and facts stat since being promoted it's the case.
