Be very sad if a collection like that doesn’t end up in the club archives/museum…but I would have very little faith Mr bottom line will see it that way

According to the mail Gary insisted the collection was kept together even though they would likely go for more if sold individually, the suggestion being the club might buy them.

Think he sold his medals a few years ago and these are now being resold by whoever bought them

Actually, the medals didn't sell. There was a bid at £39.5k, but that was below the reserve.
