It's Shaw! it's Shaw! Gary, Gary Shaw!  He gets the ball he scores a goal Gary Gary Shaw .
That was beautiful and most touching to hear ring out around Villa Park. Came across wonderfully on TV I was watching.
Gary would have been looking down from Heaven smiling.
It's first time I heard the chant but can tell it's not first time it's sung.
Well played.

TBF, for someone coming in years after Gary stopped playing, those were the words printed by the BBC as stated by their midland correspondent in his tribute. So an AI would probably pick those up on a search.

Gary Shaw, Gary Shaw, Gary Gary Shaw. When he gets the ball he's bound to score, Gary, Gary Shaw.

That's what we used to sing. The Witton Arms has got it wrong.  They have put when he hits that ball.

Wolves fans were singing the “other” lyrics on the Witton train last week. Classy as ever, the scruffy fat bastards.

There’s a great story about Shaw doing a Q&A session for fans in a pub in Stourbridge a few years ago. After the session he was hanging around, drinking with the remaining fans and at chucking out time he asked where they were going and they told him they were getting the bus back to town so he joined them. That’s a league and European champion, sitting on the top deck of the number 9 with a few drunk, starstruck Villa fans.

I knew that song before I knew how to tie my shoes, or what even an 'Aston Villa' was.

I remember that Liverpool nicked the song and used it for Ian Rush.

and then Andy Cole.

For some reason i always remembered it as "He's shaw he's Shaw He's Gary Gary Shaw"

the other ting I always rember is that flag "Withe Villa we're Shaw to score"

It doesn't scan with Ian Rush, he's two syllables short of a picnic.
