Same here - first-ever football hero.
Used to bump into him a lot when I was out and about in town and Harborne. Always happy to chat and have a beer. Probably thought I was a stalker.
Almost goes without saying that we all hope he pulls through.

Couldn’t remember how old he is but remembered he is around my age. Turns out he is two years younger at just 63
