Being confused after a player recently changes how they wish to be known shouldn't be a hanging offence. We will get used to it after a few weeks but it is a bit confusing right now.

It's been a few years.

A lot of fans only really follow villa. As I say, it will stick but somebody in the public eye with a name that rolls off the tongue... it's going to take a bit of time for everyone to get up to speed

For those watching, how is Bogarde playing please?  Is he at right back?

He dropped it years ago.

Yup. Not had much to do really. Had a nice cuddle with Onana after the goal.

Of all the pitches in all the world he’s doing well here.

He was at Villa when he changed it. He's at Villa again where every mention of him by the club is Philogene. It's not like he changed it yesterday.

Thanks Dave.  I saw the cuddle, nice to see him involved.

He's dropped the Bidace for a while now and has obviously done so for personal reasons. He may well have done cso legally as for all we know. It's pretty petty and disrespectful to use a name he clearly doesn't want used.

Somebody called him JPB, hardly the crime of the century. They still call him that on Wiki, so you may wish to avoid that with your delicate disposition.

Watching the goal, that looks like incredibly poor defending from Leicester. There's a massive gap and two Villa players just jog into it.

He actually has Jaden on his shirt these days. But the Bidace part has been gone for ages.

I have been calling him Philogene, but I can see how JPB is hard to shake off given our past use of JPA. That's what I was getting at

Irony is strong.

Yep, he had Philogene on his shirt at Stoke 2 1/2 years ago and hasn't had Bidace included on any media for longer than that.
