I'm assuming it was because the easiest way of stopping them playing each other was to separate their balls.

So if you are going to pull them out first, you have to have a random way of decided who is home and who is away.

West Ham had a good crowd in last night for a drab cup draw v Bournemouth

They charged £10 a ticket and kids for a quid
I know people take the piss out of this sort of stuff but I think it’s a great way of filling the stadium and giving loads of people a chance to go

Someone should of told the dog shitters about low costs to boost crowds................oh they did

A complete outier. Chelsea's 3rd round draws in both domestic cups over the last 20 odd years have been absolutey ridiculous. They have drawn lower league teams at home practically every season.

We've drawn loads of lower league sides, difference is we keep losing to them so don't get the chance for further 'easy' draws.

There's no doubt that Chelsea have had an incredible number of easy home ties in FA Cup Third Rounds. Doesn't excuse the number of times we've lost to absolute shite and that we virtually never punch above our weight. Not counting when teams played their reserves/kids, we've won one game against higher-ranked opposition in all domestic cup competitions since 2015.

In the same time we've lost to Luton, Burton, Stoke, Peterborough, Fulham and Stevenage.

The BBC mentioned a pre-draw for home and away. I thought they were doing it by team but instead I think they drew a number out (1-6) and then drew something to see if they got home or away. 1-4 were drawn home, 5-6 were drawn away.

Three cup finals in fifteen years isn't too shabby, considering how god-awful we've been for much of the last ten of them. It just tends to be all* or nothing. Very few fifth rounds / quarter / semi finals. Just out straight away or a run to the final.

*well, not quite all. Obviously. Given we lost them all.

We are still the team to have been to the most cup finals this century and not won any of them.

Aside from us, only Cardiff and Southampton have been to more than one final and not won any of them (two a piece).

We are joint 15th for win% in cup finals this century (0%), just behind someone called Spurs(?) who have a paltry 16.7% win ratio - lagging as they do behind such teams as Wigan, blues, Boro, Portsmouth, West Ham, Swansea, and Blackburn Rovers.

To be fair, most of them were better than us.

Can anyone confirm what I've heard on the grapevine, that this game will definitely be on the 25th? I need to know if I can attend an event on the 24th or not. Incredibly, both BBC Football and the club app are still saying the 17th

I'm assuming we'll be on t'tellybox. If not I will be hunting down a ticket...

All League Cup games are on new channel Sky+ if you have that.

I've got the Sky+ channel, but it only seems to enable me to watch the one featured game, not all the others that are being televised at the same time      and that also should be available to watch. I think this might be because I still have one of the older Sky+ boxes, and haven't upgraded to SkyQ?

Not sure, they're all available on Now TV. Have you tried pressing red button?

Just out of interest, if we were to go full B team on this, what's the line up. Assume Mings and Konsa still out, but everyone else available.

Some of these aren't B team players, but the likes of Maatsen or Ramsey aren't starters at the moment.

Gaucci

Nedeljkovic
Carlos
Bogarde
Maatsen

Ramsey
Barkley
Philogene
Buendia

Duran

Missing 1, but probably McGinn or Watkins, depending on how much they play before it.
