Aston Villa vs Arsenal Pre-Match
« on: August 19, 2024, 12:11:29 PM »
Saturday 24th August at Villa Park. 5.30 pm kick-off.
The first home game of the season will see our ground infested by the Tarquins, whose team we beat both home and away last season.

I suggest that we will win 3-1, brushing them aside with panache, if not ease.

Yes I fancy us in this one. The players' confidence will be high, and Arsenal won't be looking forward to playing us given the two results last season. Be nice if we could keep the run going so they start to view us as something of a bogey team.

A good early test.

1-1  Goals from England's hero of the summer. And Bukayo Saka.

A 1-1 draw. Whether we or they score first will determine how pleased we are with the result.

I am sure that Emery will not be drawing against Arse; he will be handing it to them.

I was shocked at the number of journalists and pundits who thought Saka had a great Euros. I can only think they were directly comparing him to Kane and even then. He's great at throwing himself to the ground though, something the media strangely enough fail to give him credit for.

This is how they are going to get their only goal, isn't it?

They reall blame us for costing us the title last year so im sure they will be really up for it. Tough game tbh . A point wouldnt be the end of the world.

We simply do not want to lose our 1st home game. Last years success was alot to to our strong home form until the newcastle game

Think I'll miss this, I might be in Norwich for the first time in my life. Please say it's good.

The dominance we showed during the first half on Saturday was mightily  impressive. I expect more of the same against Arsenal. A statement  victory. Onwards and upwards.

I'll go one step further, I'd say you and Norwich are made for each other.

As with the West Ham game, I'd take a draw right now.

A win would be absolutely amazing tho.

1-1
