Impressive performance bar the penalty incident. Shite that they've got the momentum now though

Then we have lost the initiative in the game thanks to Matty Cash.

Aside from the fact it was never a penalty, we should have been at least 2 up. Bailey's miss was horrendous. McGinn and Rogers on their weaker foot both of them but big chances missed.

West Ham will hardly be as bad again in the first half. I think Watkins has been our weak link so far, hasn't looked on it. Poor effort for his chance.

I don't give a fuck if it's a penalty or not but if there is a directive to cede to the ref, just have a fucking ref!

We should be leading with three.

Exactly. Garbage pen as it was we should be out of sight. Need to reset and go again but be clinical. I fear Bailey may see red so get Jaden on. Would also swap Morgan for Ramsey

Ollie was never ever going to be match fit for this and it's showing unfortunately.

We played some lovely stuff until that pen.

More of that and we can win this.

He's the only one who hasn't looked at the races today. Not a question of fitness as lack of practice. He hasn't had the friendly run up. I hate international tournaments...

Yep.  They’ve made VAR worse.  It’s actually quite amazing.

Well we need to play in the second half like we did for most of the first half.
Not a pen for me but VAR have set the ground rules now and need to stick to it.
Ollie looks off the pace but other than that a sound team display.

Yes it was a touch but still Cash gives a penalty away.

My thoughts. Goal announced a minute before I saw it on TV. Penalty too. Great work! Appreciated by all.

Never a pen. Chances missed very annoying. We will win this.

I think it was a poor pen decision.  He got something on the ball - which normally is enough to mean that its not a pen.  I guess the key thing here is - this sets a precedent.  So long as we see this consistently then I have less of an issue.  i.e. only overturn the ref decision if it was objectively wrong not subjectively wrong.

Pens in this match.

Not given: McGinn being clattered in the opening few minutes in the corner of their box. No whistle. No VAR review.

Given: Cash wins the ball, goes down in a tangle. Ref guesses and waits for VAR to decide. Stockley Patk pillocks bottle it.
