The thing is the original comment was made after we lost 4-0 to them so the poster seems obsessed with bringing that post up. Only he knows why.

It turned out chelsea were more of a threat than spurs in end. I think we would have blown it if there were more games. Thank god we qualified before the final game thats for sure!

Not sure why you are spinning the original comment being back after the Spurs result. The original comment myself and Ads were picking up on was we were lucky that a 38 league season was only 38 games long. I decided to pick out that some people also wrote us off after 28 games, yet at the end of 38 we were 4th. If you happened to be one of "some people" then so be it.

But now it seems we were lucky to finish above Chelsea as well in this 43 game league. Squads like the Man City ones show that Emery was trying to eke out his resources for 38 games (plus Europe) and so if we went to 43, he would have planned for that as well.

If we win here then Unai completes the set of winning at every London PL ground. In just over 18 months.

That's bloody ridiculous.
He hasn't won at Crystal Palace yet.

I don’t give a toss who took more points at the end of the season us or Spurs because overall we took more points than them and finished above them

This is a new season blank sheet, no 2 games are the same no two seasons are the same, we’ve got new players and others who have come back from injury so how we finished last this season is irrelevant in a way, only that we needed to have a deeper squad which we have got

I think the fact we will start without Kamara and Luiz  will make us weaker in that department, we have no players to make up for that axis until Kamara gets back
Thought Tielemans look sharp against Dortmund so hopefully he can step up with Onana and control that midfield with McGinn

It would not surprise me to see a midfield of Ramsey SJM Onana Roger’s with Tielemans supporting Watkins and with Bailey to come off the bench in the second half.

Even Stevie Mee managed that.

I would. There is only one outlet ball without Bailey and you need his pace to aid the press. Them not being up to speed with playing out from the back might well help. Midfield has to be balanced though.

If he picks that group in the middle, I can see it being Onana, Tielemans, Ramsey in front of the defence with SJM and Rogers right and left of Watkins in a 4321 setup. But I agree with Ads that Bailey will probably start with Ramsey and Rogers fighting for the other spot.

Tottenham's form was woeful, and they looked completely blown out despite playing less than alomost everyone else in the division, and it was exactly how I'd said it would go earlier in the season based on the way they played.

I dont see how playing like a dog chasing a car, with Europe on top, will benefit them. Hopefully they're worse than last year.

I agree ads. Spurs are going to struggle with europa and the league. Last year they had no europe and still couldn't finish top 4.

Thursday sunday schedule is not easy

Ah yes, we won there a few weeks before he arrived. Probably the coldest I've ever been at a football match but was worth it for McGinns screamer.

seems unlikely to be any transfers before this one, so;

martinez
digne
pau
konsa
cash
onanan
youri
mcginn
JJ
Rogers
Watkins

bailey/maatsen/barkley and maybe ned and philogene to get a few minutes too

also had a dream that ollie scored and we won, so watch him do his acl and we lose 6-0

I'd imagine he's referring to the lack of capital letters and punctuation.
