It may be worth pointing out that their only pre-season win in 5 games was a 1-0 success at the mighty Dagenham.

Not saying it means a lot but it means as much as our pre-season where we did still manage 3 wins.

First couple of games will be a struggle.
West Ham 3-0.
Hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I wish someone would have pointed it out before.

I'm guessing this is an unfriendly and sarcastic response?

Sorry, I hadn't read the whole thread.

It was sarcasm for sure, but wasn’t meant to be unfriendly. It was just a callback to me moaning earlier in the thread.

I'm also going for 2-2, which I think I'd take. I think two points from the opening two games would be a reasonable return.

That toothless German orc is bound to score, but I'm going with 3-1 to us.

I'm going into this game expecting a loss and a nightmare drive home. But secretly, when no-one is looking, I'm nurturing the hope of a three-win opening salvo in the coming weeks.  :-X

We haven't beaten them in their own hellhole since 2011. It's overdue.

But looking at our opening games with a view to a two point per game target, we have four winnable games following Arsenal. So it won't be the end of the world if we have a slow start against these and the Arse.

But, when no-one's looking...

Going to get spanked. New manager bounce and we look miles off.

People keep saying things, but they also look pretty rough.

Didn't we beat them 3-0 with a "new manager" bounce on the opening day? Think it was under Kev Mac after MON walked?

(And then went and lost 6-0 at Newcastle)

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same scoreline. But to them.

I fancy West Ham to have a decent season and this could be a tricky start for us. I predict the usual multiple over the top searches outside the ground, a shit view, miles from the pitch and a defeat.

And that machine on the touchline, pumping effing bubbles towards the pitch.
