Are we going to get into Bible John or not?
I've compared the fixtures we've played so far this season to last season and looked at those games where the results were different. Substituting the three promoted clubs for those that were relegated, these are the games where we got different resultsWest Ham A +2Arsenal H -3Man U H +1Ipswich A -2Bournemouth H -2So 4 points worse off compared to the same fixtures last season.
When we were knocked out of the League cup by Man Utd and Everton the past two seasons I strongly defended Emery on the basis it was all about the league.It's funny, now that we have 'done the top 4 thing' I sort of want us to go for the league cup. It's the one cup competition where the whole thing is really done and dusted over basically a handful of games and you still have a couple of months to concentrate on the league after the final. Some silverware is overdue
