So we’ve gone from Mings suffering an ACL on the first day of the season, to Buendia doing the same in pre-season, and now Onana getting the same injury before pre-season has even started.

Give it a few years and we’ll have future Villa players getting ACL injuries while they’re still embryos ffs.

Technically Buendia's was before Mings.

Embryos with ACLs - a 1992 b-side by African Car Reverser. He was always ahead of the curve.

For a guy who's apparently got a serious injury, he was on his feet and looking pretty mobile in the Belgium bench area this evening.

I thought that when he was up and about consoling one of the Belgian players (Courtois?) that had been substituted.

Yeah, the Belgian medical staff were just joshing around for shits and giggles.

Imagine the scene at BH or VP:

Say, Amadou, you seem to be moving around quite freely and you have been spotted mowing your lawn. Surely you can give us 20 minutes after a couple of codeine tabs and and injection.

They should amputate his leg so as he can't walk around while 'injured'. That will teach him.

Quite right PWS.

We can't have chaps walking around freely, feigning injury.

We don't pay him to swan around doing jack shit all the time. Is there no way we can limit his movement to only injury recovery until he plays for us again?

Given the way Mings, Buendia and Bouba all returned from ACL injuries will hopefully give him confidence and belief in the rehab process.  We should also take comfort in the fact that we've seen players come back and perform at precisely the level they had before the injury.  Yes, it's a season without him, and it will probably mean some big changes to our transfer plans, but at 24 I'm confident he'll be back to his previous levels by next summer.
