I think dougie can come in and help us tbh mate. He will want to stay here and what better way to win the fans and unai over by helping us over turn a loss 1st leg

The villa park crowd need to put in a bayern munich/PSG style atmosphere

They will have 2k of their fans and we are going to have over 40k of ours. We need to be their onana and turn this around

Sell in the summer if we can get our money back or more.  He is just way too injury prone.

Gary Numan wrote 'We Are Glass' about Kamara and Onana.

True story.

Just hope he is Down in the Villa Park next Thursday.

But on a serious note , he just cant stay fit ...great player but so frustrating.

The obvious answer is to put Lindeloff into a DM role, Big Jack did it with with God for the Republic and it worked a treat!

Agree , at least composure , experience and doesnt give the ball away much which you need in an important european semi...   cant be any worse .

I'm hoping that based on medical advise it was Unai's plan to take Onana off after an hour as pre-arranged with Onana.

Hoping, Onana felt a very small tweak after 55 minutes and thought it sensible to go off 5 minutes early as a precaution.

We can live in hope.

If Forest do indeed park the bus next week as expected, then Onana becomes less essential anyway.  Put someone like Luiz or Barkley in there, someone who can join and contribute in attack and also pick forward pass if the movement is right.  It might make us a bit more exposed on the break, but I'd have faith that Youri + luiz/barkley with Rogers in front would create enough chances for us to score a couple.

Given his record with 'niggles', I'd be surprised if we see him before Burnley, possibly even Liverpool.

Sir GT also did it.
I wanted him to use Lindelof when we had the midfield crisis, he didn’t do it then so no chance now.
Emery has been pretty stubborn with his set up this season.

Barkley is not in our European squad! Smithy c'mon, how many times?! We're stuck with Bogarde and our hopes and dreams fall on his puny shoulders.

Yep, Bogarde was already off warming up getting ready to come on so I think there was definitely a planned change there that we just went slightly early with.

Great when he plays but no way is any European football giant dropping big money on a midfielder made of porcelain. He’s doing himself a disservice if that’s the ultimate goal.

Agreed, and the action that injured him was a brilliant bit of defending. Just makes it worse!
