Me too, it's the articles badged as Villa ones that are actually just a summary of what the league would look like if each team had lost their best player to injury, signed Messi and had trout for breakfast that piss me off. It's the desperation for relevance.

Yeah, exactly that.
Spot on!

How he got muscle soreness from that Salzburg game beats all.

He has no muscle memory or he if does but it's lying on the physio's couch.

I get the sense Unai is a little frustrated at Onana’s injury record. He talked about it again in his pre Brighton presser today.

I’m not surprised, I’d be looking to recoup as much money as we can on him as he’s just too fragile. Easier said than done though.

Of course it’s in discussion with the manager, it’s a hit topic with us in general at the moment. Three key players out for a long time and one or two others struggling.

I’m sure he’s as frustrated as Onana and the same goes for Kamara. It’s annoying as hell as both are fantastic footballers.

Would be a welcome change if he could step up to the mark just once given our midfield travails. Stole a living once again today.

We really needed him to step up with the three best midfielders all out, but he's had little impact. He seems to reserve his better performances against the better sides, although that's typically been with the benefit of the three best midfielders also playing.

Disappointing, I felt that Luiz had far more of the ball than him.

Perhaps the type of game just didn’t suit him, it felt like he was hiding (key word “felt” I’m not saying he did) but again that might just be the job Leeds did. Barkley is technically more gifted so perhaps that’s all it was.

I felt as if he's playing well within himself, maybe 75%. Probably to manage his frail body. This is no use to us though. I'd sooner we kept Jimoh and have played him.
