We know players will always look to move up the ladder, i'd hope that they have enough respect for their current club and fans not to come out and say it. In the same way i'd expect clubs to have enough respect for players to not say to the press "Onana is always injured so we're looking to bring in a top player to replace him". Everyone knows the club is always looking for better players, everyone knows players are always looking up, just do it in the right way.

Yeah, I think it's reasonable to think it would probably be better if he hadn't said it, or, better still, had said he intends to help Villa get to that level. But, at the same time, obsessively worrying about, let alone saying he should be sold because of, said interview seems to me a bit of a mad overreaction.

I'd make him walk around the ground before the Brentford game so as everyone can shout "shame" at him.

I'm very upset by this quote. He's only allowed two fist pumps to the Holte if we win on Sunday.
And furthermore he is not allowed a run up to do that, he must do it standing still. That should teach him.

Im gutted that one day he wants to move on to one of the elite European clubs, rather than stay with us till his teeth rot and his bones turn brittle. Tosser.

I think we’ve already reached the latter.

With his face whitened for total humiliation.

We have had many players want to move to top clubs when playing for us and stating it whilst wearing our shirt still. Drapes was learning Italian so he could play for Barcelona for one.

As for the interview, one of the first questions was "Aston Villa can become champions": "yes". The next is "Unai Emery is the best coach in your career": "yes".

These seem to have been overlooked in the "burn him" responses from the ones who actually seem to mean it.
