He really is starting to look like the 50 million quid player we hoped we'd signed.

If he can stay fit , he could have a huge impact this season.

Big Narnz  8)

Was a ridiculous foul given against him for a brilliant tackle in the first half. Was textbook perfect.

I think it was for something that happened a second before, either Tielemans or Kamara pushing someone over.

I think that was a different one. That one was in the second half.

Could be wrong but I never am.

Just think he gives us a completely different dynamic in central midfield when he's playing well.  He wins the ball back quicker for us, particularly in tje opposition half and is a real asset on both attacking and defensive set pieces.

There was definitely a really poor one given against him at about 20minutes in because it was part of a little cluster of ridiculously soft free kicks where he'd given 5 fouls against us without us actually having done anything wrong. The Onana 1 was probably the 2nd worse behind the one given against Rogers for being stronger in a shoulder-to-shoulder with one of their defenders.

Quietly having an excellent season. He’s really emerging as a leader as well.

Becoming one of my favourite players. Easy to forget he’s only 23, hope he sticks around for a few years and he captains us to multiple trophy wins during our total domination of the footballing world through the 2030’s.

I do think that how massive he is makes such a mental difference to how teams play against us.

It felt yesterday like they properly shrunk back into themselves when he came on, as if he'd turned up to eat them all.

I said when he signed that he was *such* an Emery player - that he has always wanted an enormous man in the middle of the pitch to intimidate and bully everyone, and that was why he was an upgrade on Douglas Luiz, even accepting the latter's fine skill set.

In five years he'll either be captaining us to various trophies or he'll have joined someone enormous for a £100m+ transfer fee.

Maybe sending out Barrenchea and signing Onana wasn't such a bad idea after all.

On a non-playing note, I'm kind of enjoying his post match love-ins (easier when we're winning, it should be said), and how he's involving the players of the moment (Rogers, Watkins).

On the playing side, it looks like we're rationing his minutes in such a way as to keep him available, and that's making a huge difference.

According to one of our resident experts, ‘nobody in their right mind’ could think he’s an upgrade on Dougie.

He’s ok when we’re not dominating possession. He was great yesterday when he came on. He’s useful at set pieces at both ends of the pitch.

When we’re bossing things he can hold up the flow and look out of place.

Was he an upgrade on Dougie? No

Is Unai maximising his attributes and using him at the best times? yes
