I think Onana has been pretty good everytime he played for us.  Sometime excellent.  The only thing I would say is he's a bit injury prone and I would like to see him use his strength a bit more.

However - I think he's been a good signing and could end up being a great one.  Hes only just turned 24.

He's been anonymous for many of the games he's been fit to play!

Still, it's fascinating how he polarises people's opinion on here more than anyone since Alan Wright Wright Wright.

I was away with work for the last week and I'm only just catching up so I'm just catching up on some of the older comments. This one, for me, sums up the thing with Onana because I reckon which side of the divide you sit on whether he's been very good (but injured too much) or is shit aside from a few moments comes down to whether you're judging the player or the pricetag.

I think he’s an exceptional player when he’s on it. Just needs to get free of injury for a bit. Plus seems like a top bloke.

Just the one suicide pass today, when he cuts that out he can have a serious shout for starting games now Youri is back.

Overall our midfield were great today in part to having SJM not stuck out on the wing. I can see why Unai likes the height and strength of Onana, he offers something no other midfielder we have can deliver.

Delighted he got his goal, technically he has it in his locker and today he got all the basics right. It was great to see Barkley and Bogarde slip in towards the end and nobody  blinked an eye. We really are blessed in midfield and all will play their part if we are to win a  trophy and finish top 5 this season.

It felt like they have about a gazillion corners and most found the head of onana. There was also a break where he ended up as CB and flicked it away for a corner.

The above is mostly unnoticed but his presence compliments Pau and allows him to be our quarterback.

Could really do with one or two at the other end doing that and ending up where they're supposed to as well.

Have any done that since the very first one?

Starting to fulfill his potential and justify his price tag.

When we plays well we dominate central midfield.

Love the bloke, just hope he stays fit.

"1 goal, 7 recoveries, 4 ground duels, 2 aerial duels, 0 fouls committed.

Another monster performance from Onana, fucking love that guy. People say he’s a £50m cheerleader 😂 Top, top player and he’s still only 24. UTV"
