You must have such a joyful existence.

I don’t think BC realises that like every sentient being ever he has a finite number of heartbeats left in his life. He may when he realises focus on things in the world other than the entity he depises. May.

So, the man made of glass is named in the next Belgium squad despite barely figuring for us this season.
I wonder if he’ll be fit enough ?

That Reminds me of Bert Traore who was always miraculously fit to play for Berkina Faso but came back needing a couple of months on the treatment table

Yes, I am sure he will get fit enough to play get injured and return to the treatment room.

Which will not have had chance to go cold since he last got off it.

As long as he doesn’t get injured (I know, I know) it’s probably a bonus for us if he gets some game time.

Yep, if it helps him get back up to speed I’ve no problem with this. He’s a great asset and we need him fit.

Hamstring injury. Out at least until after the international break.

£50 million for this waste of oxygen.  Utter useless even when fit.

How was the trip back from Wrexham?

Similar to Delph imo, but without the serpentine tendencies. People used to moan that he went missing, got injured and wasn't worth the fee. Onana cost more (though not that much more when you consider inflation) but came from and is playing at a much higher level at a similar age. He will be fine.

Good comparison.
I don’t think so, I have seen nothing to suggest that Onana will ever get to the pivotal role Delph played at that time.

Definitely didnt see Delph score a cracker in the Champions League away from home for us, so perhaps the comparisons are limited.

I think he's got a lot of potential as he's still young, but he's been a disappointing signing so far to be totally honest.  I still hold out hope for him, but that's starting to wane a bit and I think he's behind Kamara, Tielemans and now McGinn as first choice options.

My thinking is that we would have been better off spending the £50 in other areas that needed strengthening rather than central midfield. I would even suggest Bogarde is ahead of Onana purely on the reliability factor.

I don't mind Onana but i've said before that I feel we'd have been better keeping Barrenchea in the squad and using the Onana money elsewhere.

Barrenechea didn't want to play for us, did he?

Can't recall anything from him suggesting that when we signed him.

It was after he signed. Sure I recall talk (probably on here) that he hadn't settled and wanted to be off.

Considering how little time he's spent here as we keep shipping him out I doubt settling was an option.

I doubt he even got a door pass for BMH, he was shipped out so quickly.

I don't recall anything to suggest he didn't want to be here.
