Despite the defeat, that's an excellent start to the season. D'Angelo and Tomas were particularly impressive. We now have a squad rather than a team, and that bodes well. Kept the ball much better than last season, and I thought Nobbs had her best game for the Club.

Saw bits and pieces (before work and after I got here), looked good. Strong finish and plenty to be optimistic about.

I’ve never liked women’s football, couldn’t get excited about the Lionesses. Amazing how my perspective changes when it’s The Villa.

Thought we were good, lots of attacking options and amazing the difference in defence with Parker back in there

Lucy Parker giving away free tickets for Sunday's game if that's of interest to anyone.

They're showing the Ipswich (men's game) on all the screens before the women's game.

It’s a shame the games sort of clash, as I wanted to see this.

The Chelsea result last night shows the we did quite well last match albeit not getting any points.

Why does the commentator say Missy Bo Kearns's name in full every time?

I'm not in the mood for watching football but we have overturned a one-goal deficit to lead two-one. Leon (78), Daly (88). Just into the second of nine added minutes.

Isn't she out of Dukes of Hazzard?
