Villa to open a new store in the Bullring. https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2025/february/13/aston-villa-bullring-store/

It'll kill the Noses.

Only until their new super superdupper mega store replaces the Bullring

I'm thinking back to the "original" Villa shop in the Pavilions. Can anyone tell me the years it was in operation?

I barely remember the Pavillions shop (was it next to the exit onto Moor Street?) But we had one on New Street under the Lerner years. I just can't picture if we moved to there or from there to the Pavillions.

The New St one was the last one.

There used to be a Villa shop in Asda, then Carrefoure, Minworth, in the 80s. Although I'm the only one that seems to remember it.

Explains the memory loss on the Pavillions one. Come to think of it, was the WM Travel shop opposite it as that is a vague recall of being on that lower level.

The location of the one in Pavillions was pretty bleak. Like descending into Hades.

"Its prime location strengthens Aston Villa’s presence in Birmingham city centre".  Interesting sentence there?

Wasn’t there one in Lewis’s too, back in the early 80s.

There was a football section of Lewis’s where at least small heath had a presence as well as us. Could have included other local clubs too I seem to remember.

Yep, exactly there.

It will be interesting to see how the new shop does, the last one closed due to lack of Villa fans going through the doors to buy the Villa stuff!

Partly, but also because of rising rent and rates in an expensive part of town. Retail has changed dramatically, I'd guess the rental price per sq ft is now more realistic.
