Predators didn't come out until late 80s/early 90s from memory. Boots probably still had nails in them when Ozzy were a lad.

Thought so. When I was a kid, we were all amazed by 'blades'.

Then we hit 13-ish, were told we could actually tackle, and they became the boots for 'pussy' kids.

Those fancy Dans who thought they could waltz through with the ball, who had things easy; suddenly those of us who were on track or perhaps a little ahead of puberty were told to 'leave a mark'.

No more little twat called Harry or Toby who pissed about on the edge of the box with impunity. You could actually touch him.

Took me a couple of watches before I realised Ozzy said "have you seen my Preds" as in Predator boots. First time I was wondering what the smeg he was saying.

Took me watching it in the queue with the sub titles on, the video on a regular repeat, at least 3 hours 🤣🤣

I was sure he was saying threads for the shirt he already had on.

Watched the claret and blue podcast - talking to a guy who designs football shirts, I never realised how much work goes into the design and making of a shirt.

He reckoned that we would sell 200,000 Villa shirts world wide, also the care that you have to take in washing your Villa shirt is also very specific, No fabric softener, also do not put in the tumble dryer etc..

Excellent podcast to listen too.

Rob Warner. He’s always a good listen.

We'll all be doing the happy clam this season

I thought it was the facehugger.

It'll be Goku's Kamehameha from Dragon Ball or Ryu's Hadoken from Street Fighter, more likely to be the former.

No, you're a nerd!

Ha, I was waiting for someone else to say it.

🤓

Never watched or read Dragon Ball, though I do love a good manga/anime.

Never really bothered with Street Fighter II as I was shit at it thought it was childish.

You wasn’t allowed to tackle? Blimey, our manager at 11 years old would have been lost. The only things he could coach was marine style circuit training and the art of tackling.

Spotted it front and centre at JD Sports, Birmingham Airport this morning (*next to a Wolves shirt for some reason!?).
Video screens playing loads of Villa marketing material stuff too 👍🏼

I don’t share the reverence for Ozzy, and I thought it was some mad old woman they found drinking at a bus stop at first. It’s good though, for that kind of thing.
You should if only because they are the biggest exports from Aston behind the Mellotron, Norton motorcycles and Villa. Massive in the US and worldwide. Bigger reach than Aston Villa could have. Great to have some of Sabbath on board as iron maiden flog West Ham shirts due to the bassist being a massive fan of the hammers. Video is nuts, funny and genuine

Both Rotters boys queued with Grandparents for 4 hours yesterday to buy the shirts; didn't complain once.

What is the specsaver equivalent for earing tests? You all should have gone there.

1994, Craig Johnston the ex-Aussie Liverpool player came up with the concept and sold it to Adidas. I remember watching a documentary about him years ago, quite an interesting bloke.

I value my personal hygiene too much to be a metal fan but that’s fucking class.

Well done Villa

I'm not a Sabbath fan particularly either, but honestly, it's a bit bonkers just how big they are worldwide.  Ozzy alone has literally TWICE as many followers on social media as Aston Villa.

Well, he is the Prince of Darkness... if anyone can do well in the hell pit of social media, it would be Satan himself.

Looks like it's going live on the Adidas store... except no adult shirts so far;
