Kit looks alright, but need to see it in the flesh.

Not one hundred percent sold on the pinstriped collar (at odds with the stripes on the sleeves), and the decision to go with the 'main badge' rather than the monochrome one is a shame - That drop shadow still looks fucking awful, even after finally seeing it on a top tier kit!

I think the colours look a bit muted - or maybe I'm just used to more vibrant shades of claret and blue on our shirts in recent times?

It's ok. It will be darker when it's drenched in sweat

Or it could be the device you're looking at it on.

It’s proper claret. That’ll do.

Not one hundred percent sold on the pinstriped collar (at odds with the stripes on the sleeves),

Same here, a thick claret stripe similar to Arsenal's would have looked better.

Think it might be a nod to the shirts of yesteryear.

Nice, simple and no thrills, as it should be.

I think it's a but underwhelming overall . As long as the team are successful in it thats all that matters

No, that’s not all that matters. I’ll only be happy if you are happy.

There's only so much you can do with the home kit anyway. I have high hopes for the away and 3rd kit.
Away i would like white top, claret shorts , white socks.

This sleeve is crying out for the UCL patch at whatever price Villa want to fleece me for.
