Is it a case that Brummies are saying Mum but it comes out sounding like Mom?

Mam is the correct word anyway.
Finally a voice of sanity.

It's clearly mam.

'Mam' = forrin rubbish.

If I wanted to say 'mam' then I would, I'm not saying 'mum' wrong, I actively round off the 'o' sound.

I say "mom" but spell it "mum", because she prefers that spelling so I'd get a clip round the ear otherwise.
OK Tarquin.

Took a punt on one of these DHGate England shirts for £12....thinking it was worth the risk for 12 quid, especially when the retail version is £110 (player fit edition)!?

It came today, and can't believe how good it is for the money. I mean, if you look at it under close scrutiny, there is probably some dodgy stitching, etc.... but when you're in the pub or having a kick around with your mates, you would not know the difference. Well happy with it!

*Obviously won't take this route with the new Villa shirt, as want Villa/Adidas to do well out of the deal, but England, Nike and in particular, Southgate, can go fuck themselves!  ;)

Watching Copa America and just like the Euros these new Adidas look exactly the same as the Castore material. They look completely drenched and glued to the body of the players. They cannot be comfortable.

Edit: seems that Adidas has a different material for the club kits in 24/25 but didn’t make that change for the summer tournaments.

I don’t think you should be able to support the Villa, until you’ve proven that you say ‘Mom’.  I’m suggesting heavy surveillance and regular testing.

Agreed, it was always 'Mom' here in the west of Ireland. Ma'am should be reserved for the Queen, and 'Mammy' makes you sound like a 6 year old.

It's not Ma'am like some posh twat. It's just mam, short for mammy. Perfectly acceptable to use in large swathes of Ireland.

The sooner the kit is finally launched the better.  Love it or hate it, we'll at least be back on topic and not down a typically H&V rabbit hole!
