You don’t want Digne in a Villa shirt again? That’s quite the overreaction.

Correct, I'm hoping for an upgrade.  Good going forward but lacks concentration when defending.  To be fair, the centre halves and keeper are first on the list.

I hate this defence and keeper.  I never want to see any of them in a Villa shirt again, other than Konsa.  Absolute garbage.

Ah, there's that angry match-thread energy we were missing.

Accurate though.  They are really poor defensively.  Digne has been solid going forward, but poor defensively.

But they're our 4th and 5th centre backs, playing in front of our 2nd keeper and behind our 6th CB who's playing in midfield because we've got half of the squad out injured and the only senior player available outside this 11 is Torres who has apparently been playing through a minor injury for a couple of months.

He's been one of the best two or three left-backs in the league this season. Probably the single best defensive moment of this game is where Olise dribbled past two of our midfielders and Digne calmly took the ball from him and passed forced to Watkins.

He's also been significantly better than Konsa has for the last couple of months.

Even Gerrard won at Palace.

And then lost their last season with a display far worse than this.

Digne is completely gassed.

I doubt even he expected to start so many.

I'd rather move on Moreno instead given his frequent injuries and hitting 30 himself.

All correct, well done.  Like I say, be great to have better players that these clowns as our second 11 isn't up to it.  Digne and Konsa are ok be have struggled since Christmas.  I hope we address our defensive side in the summer and Tyrone comes back strong.

His form overall has been excellent. An upgrade would cost a fortune and is in no way a priority.

It's going to be a very different team when the new season starts.

Bear in mind that 2-0 is a dangerous scoreline (picks up straw to clutch)!

Olsen having a good game again.
Made me chuckle. I'm not saying you're wrong it's just we never seem to win when he plays.

I agree with this & I wanted rid in the summer. His form this season has been very good...
