Surely the players heading off to Copa or Euros will want the game off? An injury would be ridiculous in this game. I think we could pick a bit of a joke team with likes of Olsen, Chambers, Duran and a few others. Result doesn't matter one iota

Absolutely no chance of that happening .
-------- Martinez ---------
Cash Konsa Torres Digne
--- Luiz --- Tielemans--
McGinn(c) ------------ Bailey

Absolutely NO chance of that happening, given Cash and Tielemans are unavailable for this match.

I think he played through the pain on Monday.

Don't know, it just said we'd be without him and Cash for the game. Maybe they've asked to be rested ahead of the Euros.

No results matter. It's a nonsense game played by grown men in short trousers. You can use your actual head, ffs!

Aston Villa battering shit out of a bunch of on-the-beach also-ran perennial no-hopers, that matters.

With Germany v Scotland kicking the Euros off on June 14 I wouldn't have been totally stunned to see McGinn rested.

Ditto Martinez. If Argentina go deep in the Copa America he could be in action up until July 14.  Other players will be back in pre season training for two weeks by then.

There's a definite case for that pair not aggravating pre existing injuries ahead of that schedule and grabbing the break when they can.

I get this feeling with the whole squad. They're such a contrast to the lollygagging ****** that sent us down.

Crystal Palace can finish Top 10 (depending on other results) if they win this. They haven't finished that high in 10 years. Would be a good season for them, so I can see them going all out.

I'm not sure which Villa Will show up today. We'll either be so relaxed and free flowing that we'll put 4 or 5 past them like some of the early season games, or we'll all have switched off after Tuesday and look like we did against Olympiakos.

I think the players wil enjoy today now the pressure is off but they'll still want to finish with a win and the fans travelling down there will too.

2-3. Watkins with two and Diaby.

That's a surprising stat, would have assumed they'd had a top half finish in the last decade.

10th in 14/15, so I guess 9 years rather than a full 10, but I think it would be something they're aiming for.
