Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed that Will Hughes is unavailable for Sunday's match against Aston Villa.

"Will is out for the last game against Aston Villa,” he said in his pre-match press conference.

"It looked terrible on the video – in the game and on the video – but fortunately everything is OK with his ligament.

"He has a bone bruise and he will be out for several weeks. He should be back for pre-season, but he is out for the last game."

Jefferson Lerma will return on Sunday, however.

"Jefferson Lerma is fit and will come back to the squad, and all others are fit," he added.

"I’m always pleased if a player comes back from injury.

"It’s good, but he was out for four weeks now and this was the first week of training, so he has to get back into the rhythm, but it’s good to have him back.

"We lost Will, and we lost Ama [Naouirou Ahamada] because of the red card, so both are not available and this gives us another option in midfield."

Honestly a great opportunity to start kesler at rb. It seriously makes more sense than putting konsa there.

Lets see how he does.

Probably we wont see cash in villa shirt i think

If we go a goal down on Sunday - get ready for the Palace fans chant of "Champions League your having a laugh"
No. That used to be case when we were finishing sixth season after season. No we have done it, no one is laughing other than us.

And quite frankly who cares what they or anyone else thinks? We will finish in 4th because we deserve it over full 38 game schedule. In fact it only took 37. We are so beaten up right now we might indeed lose. I'm going to just enjoy the last game knowing just what we have to look forward to.

If Kesler-Hayden and Iroegbunam don’t start in this game where nothing is riding on it they won’t be in Unai’s plans going forward.

So, Nicolo Zaniolo season has ended with a broken metatarsal to his foot. He was only on for about 10 minutes against Liverpool and had to go off. He will also miss the Euros with Italy. That's so unlucky! It seems like we get an injury every game...!

Based on the second half of the season I would suspect the decision is already made on them both.

They're not good enough for a squad that has a chance of improving to challenge for the league or get into the last 16 of the Champions League.

I’ll be surprised if they are with us in August. We might get around £10m for the pair.

Hopefully the lads have more luck over the summer break and we aren't reading of freak injuries on beaches , around swimming pools or in nightclubs .

We’d be lucky to get that I reckon, considering Azaz went for about £2m as a good Championship player.

Reckon a win is on the cards for us. I will enjoy the match thread and the usual sparring with wit and wonder!
