I reckon we need to find someone like Diogo Jota when Liverpool picked him up from Wolves. When they bought him, it was off the back of two Premier League seasons of seven goals and nine goals. Nothing that impressive but they saw something that they thought would transfer well into their system and he would be a better player for Liverpool than the one they bought who was playing for Wolves. Now he scores nearly a goal every other game for them. There are some players who excel when they're the best player in a team but only do so well because everything goes through them - stick them in a different side and it unbalances things. I'd hope we're looking at the Jotas rather than the Toneys.

I agree Dave, and guess this is where Monchi comes to the fore. The discussion about Smith-Rowe the other day was interesting, not making a case for him personally but there are players out there that might not be getting games somewhere because there are other players in front of them, or because the manager or system doesn't suit them, whatever really, but it doesn't make them poor players and they might be absolutely perfect for us.
And we haven't bought anyone off Brentford for a while, they must think we've fell out with them.
