I always wonder why supporters would have an issue with a long haired male player be it own club , opposition or rival team

It's a story as old as time. Anything physical that marks you out as different can be seized-upon by tribes.

Thank God Footy (none of them) will be able to remember Asa Hartford if we're talking "bit different" songs.

This guy looks cracking prospect, 20 now, is he going to get a chance, or will he just be another we sell for PSR.

I expect the sale being as we are loaning him to 3rd division Spanish and 4th division English clubs at 20/21 age bracket.

Perhaps a loan until Emery can fit him in!
He does look rather exciting.

Went to the Swindon - Tranmere game a couple of weeks ago and his winner in injury time was one of the sweetest strikes you could hope for..
Didn't realise that he was one of ours at the time.

Think I posted it in the Loanwatch thread. A beauty.

Tina
There is no alternative
But I've got to live (you know)
And I ain't living on my own, oh no
All those places we never met
Near misses
Your lipstick on my coffee cup

Screwing in a charity shop
On top of black bin bags
Full of donations
The smell of digestive biscuits in the air

Welcome back to dreamland
We all know your name
T I N A, still reads her book on the train
Tina - yes tonight I have been thinking about Tina...

Looks like we're about to sell our Finn:

Middlesbrough and Bristol City have made offers for Aston Villa defender Finley Munroe.

The Championship pair are fighting to sign the left-back who has been on loan at Swindon this season.

The Robins' bid is around £350,000, with Boro's offer around the same and includes a sell-on clause. A move from Villa Park could be finalised this week.

His loan at the County Ground is expected to be terminated soon, allowing him to move permanently.

Munroe has made 27 appearances for Swindon, scoring twice, with Ian Holloway's side second in League Two, five points behind leaders Bromley.

The 20-year-old joined Villa after leaving Chelsea's academy in 2021.

He has made two senior appearances, making his debut as a late substitute in the Europa Conference League semi-final defeat at Olympiakos, before coming on against Crystal Palace in May 2024.

They came after he signed a new contract while he spent last season on loan at Real Union, Villa's sister club in Spain.

That feels a little cheap given the season he's having, I hope any sell-on clause is heavily in our favour to justify it.

We're hardly going to get millions for someone that's played half a season in division 4 and a season in div 3 in Spain. May as well get some money in and bring in the next youngster from somewhere to try and fatten them up to sell.

No, but if 2 championship clubs are interested I'd have thought we'd be looking at 7 figures. 2 goals and 9 asists in 27 games is a very good return for a left-back which makes me think if us selling Azaz a bit cheaper than we should've when he had a record that probably justified us asking for more.

They'd possibly be a lot less interested at 7 figures. If they were interested at a higher price you'd think at least one would be increasing bids to put them ahead of the other. Which may happen yet in fairness, it's not like he's already gone for 350k.

Don’t forget shouting TinaTina Tina at englands number 1 Peter Shilton.
I went to Newcastle v Southampton as a student in Durham and everytime the ball went to Shilton the Geordies chanted " Tina, Tina, show us your flaps" I assumed it was a reference to a tabloid story that he had been caught in the act in the back of a car with a young lady of the same name?
