Lose, but Burnley will draw at the weekend. Job done.

Not quite in that case.

Two games left- if we cant get point in last two and miss out on CL im gonna be furious

As we missed out on a trophy and CL. People can say its still be a good good season but it really wouldnt be if that happened.

Yes it would. Regardless of your fury.

5th feels like a failure now with all things considered as its in our own hands and we would have blown it

We’ve got a points total that may or may not be good enough for 4th place. We were looking more likely to be in a relegation battle about 18 months ago. Get some perspective. What might feel like a failure to you and others with an overly negative viewpoint, isn’t a failure in reality.

I dont see how failing to secure CL being 7 points clear from 5th wont be deemed a failure. We have literally needed ONE point from our last 3.

Anyway its all if and buts hopefully it wont come to this negative scenerio and we smash liverpool. 😁

I don’t get it.

 A) One point doesn’t guarantee fourth place. It means Spurs have to win all their games.

B) We’ve won four points in our last three games.

Nightmare scenario:
Spuds beat clarets 5-0
We lose 3-1 to 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' - then our v spuds GD down to 2
They get a draw with 115
We lose to palace 2-0
Spuds beat blades 5-0
They nick 4th place and I lose my erection till August.

Hard as a rock scenario for whole year - Clarets (somehow) beat them 1-0. And we serenade our heroes on Monday night.

Liverpool will absolutely batter us as will Palace. Spurs will get 4th…season over!!!
Players are knackered, been a great season but a very frustrating end.

So you think Spurs, having lost 4 games in succession will beat Man City?

Bingo can someone explain Bingo ?

Bingo from the banana splits.  Look at his teeth and tell me they aren’t Klopps.

People go on about The Sopranos, Breaking Bad and The Wire; but has The Banana Splits ever been surpassed as classic TV ?

same as people say the film sequels are never as good as the original first film, they obviously never seen high school musical 3

Naughty College Schoolgirls 43 is easily the best of the franchise.

Or draw with them.

You get this feeling that we won't get over the line unless Ollie breaks through the 20 league goal barrier. Something to do with the poetry, the symmetry...

So 1-1 on Monday, Ollie for us. Clinches the EC place, after Burnley's draw at Spudz.

If that scenerio happens we have no one but ourselves to blame.  Injuries or no injuries that would have been a 4 game failure and collapse (we should have beaten chelsea thats the one that really winds me up) to get the 3 points we needed.

Every other team outside villa would say we bottled it.

We just have to make a final push to ensure it doesnt happen. We need arsenal to win against manure to make it a must win game for citeh

Just a thought on Chelsea

We’ve played them 4 times this year I’ve seen 3 live and 1 on tv and they are the best team I’ve seen against us all season by a distance
I know overall they’ve had a shit season but apparently if you take the league from Christmas they are second

Think they’ll be a force next year

I agree they have been very impressive. But two things on them - they have had no europe whoch makes a massive difference.  The other without palmer they are literally nothing.

They rely so heavily on him. It reminds me of us when we had grealish. Next season you will see teams trying to stop him play. If teams can figure out how to stop palmer playing chelsea are going to struggle again.

Another flat performance and another straight defeat I’m afraid. Just hope that we’ve put enough distance between ourselves and Spurs to clinch fourth because we’re going to struggle to increase our points count between now and the end the season.
It’s been a tough season and I think we ‘re done, physically and mentally.

Not to worry though, the comimg of Ragnarök appears to be next on the list of terrible events, so it's not like we'd get to see us or The Man City Conquering Tottenham play in the Champions League anyway.

Some are mentally shot and it appears to be the fans.

I posted something about this a while back. Being largely a very good side and needing to stay top four is in a way as draining as battling relegation, the margins are similarly fine and the pressure to be consistently good is absolutely intense.

Obviously it’s much much better than fighting for survival but it does make you respect the mentality of consistently top sides.
