If Unai does not rate any of the youngsters then he needs to move them on for their benefit - as they obviously wont be making a football career with us.

How much interest has there been from other clubs?

Having kids on the bench but not using them very much is par for the course at this stage of the season. I don't read too much into it regarding their ability.

Not seen any real quality in the kids since JJ came through. If all we do is create decent championship level players that we sell for £5m - £10m each year season, then that's fine. Sell 4, bring in 2 first-teamers...

To be fair with JJ it was a while until he started looking good - rather than just ok.  Think the kids are exactly that - I trust Unai and the team to judge whats right for the players and the club.

If he thought they were ready, he would use them more.

Can we term this as a must win?

Must win because it's final game at Villa Park
Must win to confirm champions league *
* Proviso that Spurs mathematical can reach Villa

I know we have a lot of injuries in midfield, and normally it has far more quality and is more robust

But I still feel the main problem is defence
That’s where all our work and attacks come from, and there’s only Pau Torres who is any good with the ball at his feet
Cash, Konsa, Digne, Lenglet all of them, not good enough to be in a top four side playing out from the back

Ha, Even though we are a top four side playing out from the back at the moment
we still need upgrades in that department

I don't know mate, they've shown they can do it, I think we just need more players available of the existing quality and we'll be good.

If we'd been able to properly rotate the squad and make in game changes we'd most likely be going to the final and maybe still in the title race.

Two games left- if we cant get point in last two and miss out on CL im gonna be furious

As we missed out on a trophy and CL. People can say its still be a good good season but it really wouldnt be if that happened.

Yes it would. Regardless of your fury.

5th feels like a failure now with all things considered as its in our own hands and we would have blown it

Ironically, I am one of life's optimists, the only exception being with Villa where painful experience wins out over blind optimism.

I'm not all that impressed with this season's Liverpool, but they always seem to do well against us at ours without even trying, other than the time VP was empty. So someone hit the fire alarm if things are going badly, maybe that's our only chance

You've been repeating the same stuff for a while - we've blown it etc, this is a failure blah blah. You're adding nothing new mate, just reinforcing your misery on everyone else

We're about to finish 5th at worst, been to a European semi in the first full season of this manager. We've had horrific injuries to key players, double over arsenal, beaten city, scored a shed load of goals and almost every player has vastly improved.

Yet according to you it's failure, get a grip

Because not everyone has had a sense of humour by pass operation.

I think what he means is that you do have a tendency to pop up on every thread with the same negativity. At least you are consistent I suppose.

It will be a good season even if we only finish 5th. Must be the first time this century we've finished so high? For what it's worth I'm confident of 4th anyway.
