Players should have been subbed at the 55/60 minute mark tonight. No reason to keep all our best players on in a tie that was gone completely. Emery very rarely gets it wrong but in this regard he has tonight.

I was wondering the same but honestly, you can't throw games like that. When it was 2-0 at the end he did, which you understand, but at 55-60, you just can't have that mentality.

The one tiny, taunting, horrible sliver of light is that at least they won't be playing against an eleven-man defence like they were tonight. Olimpiakos just sat in, as was their right, and there was no way through that. Maybe, just maybe some of that chaotic Liverpool defending can work in our favour, maybe Ollie can get an actual sight of goal, maybe we can scratch out a point?

To be honest, If Tottenham had got a result against Liverpool, I'd have been tempted to rest players from the start tonight. The Liverpool game was always a lot bigger for me than tonight
