I'm embarrassed by the people saying we're embarrassing. We're not that in any way. We're just all out of energy to play at the levels we need to.

I think you are right, we're out of energy, but conceding 6 goals against this utterly mediocre side and limping out of a European semi final - that is embarassing.

To get so close and then totally shit the bed.

I’m still very proud of our team. We’ve been well beaten by a very good team. We can say we are tired and injuries and blah blah but they’ve been an incredibly effective opponent and deserve to beat us.

watch them get beat 5 0 in the final

Worry a player or two may lose discipline now these remaining minutes.

You are obsessed

It’s not over yet but.. it’s over.

It’s a meaningless observation at this point but we just haven’t got the squad left at this stage of the season. I feel very sorry for them all as they’ve given everything to get this far on fumes. Rotten luck with injuries.

Never mind, it’s been fun and I haven't gone as mental at anything in football as I did the Lille penalties in a very long time.

They’re the best team we have had in years. If you can’t support them then why don’t you F off and support the blues?

Injuries and number of games have taken it's toll. They look dead on their feet.

I feel sorry for our goal monitor who has spent all evening waiting to announce a goal before anyone else. And what does he get? Fuck all!

Several times recently he's shown he's miles off this level

Let's hope that acts as the steepest of learning curves for next season's European campaign.  Injuries and fatigue? Absolutely. But over these two legs, too many of supposed top performers have been miles off.
