I woke up thinking of a semi; does that help?

On topic
At the moment, I'm convinced Gaucci will figure on Thursday or Saturday, be it an injury or sending Olsen off.
I just have an intuition that something is telling me Gaucci is going to come on.
I can't see how he will perform. I'm hoping heroic because it's not a bad feeling I'm having, but I do get the sense he's going to make his debut.

I've had the number 5 be most prominent today.
Is that a sign ? Time will tell.

Apart from the Chelsea v Tottenham result,  the only positive I can take from this evening is that Olympiacos didn't score 5 and Gaucci didn't move his arse off the bench.

I couldn't have handled it. Absolute bollocks as always.

My betting patterns over the next few days will consist of a Spurs W v Chelsea, Spurs W v Liverpool and Brighton W against us.

We'll be celebrating Champions League qualification by Sunday evening. 😉

Good lad. Save me doing it.

2 losses for Spurs and a win at Brighton and I think we're in!

So being a Villa fan, I've had a bet on them to win both matches and us to lose at at Brighton.

I knew there  were superstitions amoung us !
The thinking will impact the outcome of the matches!

"Someone here has recently lost someone special.  I'm getting the letter B. Bernard? Brenda? Billy?"

"Bob?"

"Yes, Bob. That's it!'

My old man is in his 80s and has followed Villa all his life etc etc.
He told in about 1980 'if there is a wedding at the church (St Peter & St Paul), Villa always win'. When he took he took his grandkids to the Lille game he told them the same.

In 40 plus years of attending Villa games, I've never seen a wedding there once. Didn't have the heart to say at the time as the boys loved it... :D

Lets all swallow our pride next season and put in place a match-up marriage rota between us all…

Rest assured, it wasn’t me. I was speaking hypothetically. I always bet on us to lose so if we do I’m too busy counting my winnings to be on here moaning!

Haha, fair play. I put money on us to get relegated once just to jinx it.

It's interesting the thinking regarding jinxing it comes under superstition.
There some idea that can reverse jinxing by doing certain rituals.

During Aston Villa's 2018-19 promotion-winning season, Jack Grealish became somewhat superstitious about the boots that he wore. Having scored a few goals and laid on some more for his Villa teammates on his return from injury, the playmaker decided that it had to be his boots. Grealish kept wearing the same pair, only changing after won promotion to the Premier League!!
