Need to come out alert and focused 2nd half , don't give them a sniff . Next goal is enormous .

I'll be happier if there isn't one. To be fair.

With some better possession we can open these up .  They are still dangerous though

Yep we need more control I think.

I still see us scoring the 4+ goals.
Chelsea tire and concede goals away from home second halves.

Watkins half coming up.
He's desperate to score and I willing him so much!

Let's finish them off!
Up The Villa

Btw,it's Rogers.

Indeed, ticked myself off for that!

Talking of names...probably discussed at length when the team news came in but Chelsea genuinely have a player on the bench called Ted Curd?!!

My Mrs is fuming, she thought we were watching Fallout tonight..
I think another goal and I'll swap to my phone. Not at out beat and winning. The sign of champions.

What a great finish from Rodgers that was. Have we ever signed someone from the lower leagues that has improved so much in six weeks?

He plays now like he's been in the premier league for the duration Luiz and SJM have.

Quite an average performance really. Quick start and then we just sit back and give Chelsea the initiative so that second goal is a big moment for this game.

Platt - similar 3 month time frame

What did ever do.

Rogers making the 2026 World cup squad probably isn't the worst bet then!

Yeah but who's his Spurs buddy being signed from Newcastle this summer.

Joking aside I think he could readily be the Bellingham alternative or more if former become the slightly offset.

Mark my words way we go forward there's more here for us .
Emery will be demanding!

Great to be leading by two but take your point !
Let's cheer it home for 9pts clear
Enjoy the second half!

Up The Villa!

Chelsea have now conceded 59 Premier League goals this season.

They conceded 61 in Jose Mourinho's first three seasons in charge of the club.
