I can't imagine Unai is cacking his plus-twos over the impending visit of Palmer. They're a mid-table team (despite being in 4th) and we will beat them routinely.

It's going to be a tough fight between actual 4th and data points to 4th.

All 3 sides above us in the table are managed by objectionable tossers.

Despite managing 3 horrible clubs, Poch does seem a likeable enough chap in comparison.

Fernandez out for the season.
Gusto is out too and he’s a big player for them.
I was going to make a joke here, but it would be in bad taste.
Boom tish!

Thank you, I thought it might go totally unnoticed!

Yeah, but that's why Rigadon is paid the big bucks, he's not afraid to say th things you're all scared of.

I'm just doing my job, and I don't care whose feathers I rustle.

I think he's thrived in a kind of 'Grealish with us' role where he's free to be the fulcrum of that rabble and he's thriving with the responsibility much like the greasy one did.

He wouldn't maybe get that chance in a better organised team. He is a bloody good player though.
Yes , Citeh had to choose between Phil the Chav Foden or him. Chavy looks good in a great team whereas Palmer looks brilliant in that rabble.

If I had to choose, I'd take Palmer over Foden.

Mental!

Haha!  I don't massively rate Foden - I know I'm in the minority though.

Those of A Certain Age would come out in a cold sweat if we were linked to Palmer.

Indeed!

C. Palmer. Signed every summer for about 5 years.

Shudders.

Favoured England international. I don't know why we didn't get him.

I doubt Man City wanted him to go but a mix of Palmer wanting to leave for game time and the PSR of selling a youth player for that much is why he went.

They actually got rid of a few players for big money (and Rogers) last summer. Looking back, I didn't realise Southampton seem to spend big buying ex-Citeh kids two seasons ago (almost £50mil) and even this season with a £10mil spend.
