Well played Matty Cash, looked our most likely scorer all evening, and what a screamer to keep us in it, a goal that will live long in the memory.

Agreed! His first game back he goes for 120 minutes, scores the vital goal to get us back in it and smashes a pen.

He might not have been at his sharpest, but certainly doesn't deserve all the flak.

I bloody love Matty Cash & though some of his defensive play was a bit dodgy, scoring the equaliser and scoring that penalty with aplomb makes him in the top 4 players for us today.

Just heard Umi gave Emi a massive telling off in the changing room.
He caught him reading a ‘Holidays in France’ brochure 😉

He owns France so why shouldn’t he holiday there?

GBBlue
Aston Villa biggest cheats on the planet. So let me get this right a goalkeeper in a shootout can be as unsportsmanlike as they want unless a ref has the guts to show a straight red (they wont)

Martinez should have got a least 2 yellow cards in that shootout. Not to mention being off his line and then you have the phatom handball in extra time which apparently hit Cash’s chest.

Nah I am not having it.
Refs bottling it again, Cash swept the ball away clearly with his hand, Martinez should have been sent off, Watkins elbow on that defenders head (did you see the lump on his head) that was a red card too, the smug effers will win it and the refs have been 12th man especially in this game
That is so pleasing to upset a complete and utter wanker

Can I have a puff of whatever GBBlue has been smoking.

Fair play to their manager I think he would be a great addition to us if the unthinkable was to ever happen.

Says in the Guardian match report that Lille are unbeaten in their last 15 home matches - their last home defeat was against Reims in September - but before that they also had a 22 match unbeaten run.

The reason Emi should take it down a notch or two is to avoid unnecessary suspensions.

Was linked with us at the time we potted Bruce in 2018, as weird as that seems.

Think he was managing in Ukraine at the time.

Wham could def do worse.

11 goals in all comps is all they conceded this seaon.
Well 12 now

The first time I felt that we would win was when the ref blew his whistle at 120 minutes. I knew that our world class keeper would win it for us. Up to then we were second best all over the park.
