Normally with us, after a poor first half, we come out in the second and:

1. Are significantly improved, or
2. Concede almost immediately.

It generally doesn't tend to be 'remain in a state of nondescript shitness'.

Im gonna slag off Diaby so that he scores.

Loads of us having been doing that for months, to no avail.

I slagged him off against wolves and he scored.

Oh well in that case, fire away!

I'll help: Moussa, pull ton fucking doigt out, you're playing comme a pov' con!

This ref though...  Shocking.

Compared to the performance our players have put in, the refs been peak Pierluigi Collina

We weren't playing with this slow, slow pace earlier in the campaign when we were nailing teams with 4s and 5s.

It's a consequence of the games we've had and the games we've got coming up.

We will have a purple patch in the second half at some point (most likely when Bailey comes on). Just need to cash in.

Lille have only played two games less. No excuse. We look like Arsenal last night and it’s hard to see how we will score in this game. They look sharper, they pass sharper. Somebody said after the game last week that Lille were mid to upper Championship level?!? Even if we did manage a goal we make too many mistakes to think that Lille won’t score again. We need to pull out a performance like Alkmaar away, to date the only quality performance in Europe this season.

The set up seems to me to let them tire themselves out they will of purse have more energy if they've had the week off, but shouldn't be much different.

I expect there will be a lot more from us second half.

If he comes out second half.   Probaly get to 60 th minute  but hes been useless up to now , like most of them.

Thought they were all fair enough yellow cards to be honest. Maybe one more Lille player could have got one but that was a bit borderline

Glad Emi got booked, sick of his shit at restarts, slowing everything down.

Really? I think it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Ref lost it there, happens a lot in European football it seems. 2 bookings each means the tightrope being walked by both teams.

One of our bookings is already off the pitch.

Haha.  But nah, not for me.  We've been a bit poor, but he totally lost the plot half way through.  I've never seen Emery lose his cool with an official before, which I think speaks volumes.

And their goal was a bit lucky.  The winger never looked up, just twatted the ball across the box and it landed plum on the boys left foot.  Good finish though.

They're a decent side, but I back us to win this in the second half.

Still plenty of time to go. I suspect this will go all the way but I trust Emery. I think we’ll get through.

Yep, good point!
