I think attacking wise Villa are far too strong and powerful and with Martinez in defence ,who is world class, makes all the difference between these two teams.

It will be a different kettle of fish in france. If we play like this i think they will beat us comfortably

We need to step up a gear

Konsa really isn’t a very good right bsck.

Need to pick it up a bit second half, especially at the back

Good scoreline, but fuck me, we look absolutely second best and without the best goalkeeper in the world playing for us, we'd be in big trouble here.

I would much rather ser Hayden there and Konsa put back in his best position

Kessler Hayden on Konsa back to centre half but I’m not the manager.  Also Tim on in midfield maybe.

The one thing I don't understand is since his suspension why McGinn has been moved back to the 10 role.  Tielemans is much better in that role and McGinn should be sitting in with Dougie.

Not great. Cut open way too easily far too many times. Martinez has been immense but he shouldn't need to be.

Look dangerous when we do have the ball. Think McGinn and Tielemans need to swap positions

At this point im thinking so too. Carlos is such a liability and fod me him and pau at cb  dont compliment each other very well.

Id look to ship carlos out in summer tbh and get someone else in

SCORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRCHIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Blimey, even Sky were later than you.  Great work Mr Shin,

On that Soccer Saturday thing, Sky are always about a minute or two behind.

Konsa and Carlos not inspiring confidence on the right. Emi proving why he is the World's No 1. We are very lucky to be in front at HT. I'd bring on KKH for Carlos and push Konsa inside.

We need to be much better in the second-half.

I not sure what game people are watching, as I feel it's quite comfortable personally. Lille doesn't seem to have the same cutting edge as we do.
Martinez has been immense, but they are all saves a man of his calibre makes.
Watkins has the beating of the defence, and Emery will tell them to kill it off in the in the second half.I think Rodgers has been great in the in the first half, but McGinn and Carlos could do better.
At the end of the day, our players are of higher class, and I think over two legs it will show. If we stepped up, they wouldn't live with us.
