I thought the wind played a huge part today. We over got everything first half, second half it stopped out flow and almost gifted Brentford a fourth at the end. I think it also led to their first.

Otherwise defensively we looked v fragile and Konsa doesn’t seem to be a right back.the space the left winger was given was huge. All three goals came from there I think.

Weirdly Digne was over there defending for the first. I'm guessing they had a freekick which went for a throw-in (as the goal scorer was a defender in the box). He initially tried to put his crossed behind his back to stop a potential handball (it is outside the box) so he was off balance when the ball went to winger.

As if things couldn't get any worse, I've just dropped a bag of rice which has split all over the kitchen floor. Fuck sake.
Sending strength - the only thing worse than that is dropping icing sugar

Or a bucket of lego...

Yet more proof that for all their good points Carlos and Torres can’t defend.

Unai Emery on Brentford's left side: "It was my mistake, I have to correct it. Because Regulion crossed three times for three goals. I have to correct it."

He could stop playing 5 Minute Tielemans as a defensive midfielder too.

Instant coffee is a right nuisance as well, especially if it's on to damp or wet surfaces.

Konsa and Pau have been great, but watching it back the former was absolutely atrocious for all the goals and the latter was dreadful for two of them. How Konsa just kept letting the crosses come in is astonishing.

It's as fractious on here as it was on the Holte earlier.
Results like these do provoke extreme emotions, and you can always rely on someone being hysterical.

No need to get nasty, but then some people are like that. I'm fuming but still love this manager. this team and I will always love this club.

I know people are frustrated and it almost felt like a loss leaving the ground earlier, but do think we need to have a bit of perspective.  With 6 games to go, we're still in 4th and in the QFs of a European competition.

Yes, we're limping a bit towards the finish line at the moment, but we've made huge strides in the last year or so and are competing with sides with far bigger squads and budgets.

I think the problem is, when these bad periods happen it’s not that we become a bit stodgy it’s that we become completely hapless and inept. Konsa is a great example, having a great season but in that 9 minutes he was about as effective as a traffic cone on three separate occasions. It’s ok for your levels to drop a bit, but it can’t drop so much that you completely turn a game on its head. There should be more leadership and awareness of that in game.

My lad said quote of the season for me earlier....

"The sides below us are "bottle jobs"

I agree with him, 4th it is then.

Stoke mark 2. This side is no ready for the champions league.

I respectfully disagree I think we’re on the upward curve towards playing in the CL.

Talk of ‘Stoke’ is very premature and tiresome.

As a long season gets towards the critical phase as we go for champions league qualification, we rested players midweek in a game to have them fresh for this game against a mid to lower table struggling side- one of our easier remaining fixtures. We went two goals up and ended up drawing. It’s hard not to see the see the similarities.

This is the business end of the season where we need to get the job done. Today was a complete shambles. 3 goals in 6 minutes - yet again conceding in the first 15 minutes of the second half. It keeps happening and we’re not addressing it. We’re better off not having half time.

We blew it at home to Man Utd and Spurs who are our rivals for a champions league spot. And we blew a massive opportunity today. I’m not feeling massively positive right now about Villa not doing a Villa yet again.

funnily enough i often refer to brentford as the new stoke, they are basicly kick and rush and use long throws. play in red stripe too   ;D

That was the other thing; they literally do play like Stoke!

Just seen the goals - they were 3 piss poor goals to concede.  And all so similar.  How we let them own the 6 yard box is beyond me.

Its a absolute disgrace we conceded THREE goals in 9 minutes. We conceded two in 3 mins vs spurs then a further 2 in four minutes.

I mean thats embarrassingly poor in my opinion. That doesnt just happen thats a mental issue. They need to toughen up thats for sure.

If you want to bw successful you simply cannot do this

The one thing I would say is that we have looked a bit short of leaders on the pitch when things have got a bit tough this season.  We just don't seem to have that bit of experience and nous to manage things when we're up against it.
