finshing outside of the top 4 after being in it for so long would  smart a bit, for sure, but we need to see the big picture.

In terms of long term injuries, whilst managing european football, finishing top 5 is a fantastic achievement IMO, and to say it's shite is reactionary nonsense.

Today was a bad result, nobody is saying otherwise but honestly take a step back mate and calm down a bit.

Even though we got a point, that one hurt today. The Manure one on Boxing Day hurt just as much. Have we it in us to get something from the Tarquins game? I'm having a bit of trouble processing what happened and how we let it happen.

Positive: two good goals from Ollie.

Rogers 1st goal for us not a positive?
3 positives that comes to my mind accurately at this moment in time: we scored three goals.

Went from a chill out on the beach to a full on rave with no in between.

Disappointed, but reality is we’re getting 4th or 5th worse case, which will probs be champions league. Since we came back up , 17th, 11th, 15th(?), 7th, 4th/5th…..

Reminded me of Man Utd away where we suddenly crumbled based on nothing that had gone on previously in the game.

Brentford just played 2 defensive blocks in the first half and we were too slow playing it through

After the first 15 mins or so of the second half, I couldn't see them getting 1 let alone 3, but all of them came down our right and started with Reguilón. Konsa was wide open as he seemed to tuck inside too much.

It should never have happened, but it was a sudden swing of confidence on both sides, rather than some tactical switch. Panic and poor defending madness.

At least we fought back.

Ok, so stop being so patronising.  I was replying to somebody talking about Emery being ‘hounded out’ by imaginary people who didn’t appreciate him.  Fucking zero people exist. And my back is already up with commentators saying we should appreciate 6th (or 5th) and the Europa.  You know, like Brighton are.

I’m sorry I swore at you.  I’m cross.

As if things couldn't get any worse, I've just dropped a bag of rice which has split all over the kitchen floor. Fuck sake.
Sending strength - the only thing worse than that is dropping icing sugar

Feels like a defeat, not sure how the midfield and defence went missing for that 10 minute spell when they got three.

I think the wind was a big factor today, every cross was just hanging up in the north stand penalty area. It may have been better to defend that end first half if we had won the toss. At 2-0 with no Toni on the pitch it looked game over.
McGinn looked a bit ring rusty and Bailey only looked like vintage Bailey for the goal when he burst past two men.
After being 4th most of the season being done in the final furlong to spurs would turn my stomach. Theres plenty of football to be played yet and it might go to the final game.

9 minutes of lunacy against an awful side. We didn't play particularly well, but you don't necessarily need to.

4 wins out of the last 6 needed.

The only way we will NEED to win 4 out of the last 6 is if Spurs beat Forest, Sheff Utd and Burnley - and ALSO beat two of Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle and Man City.  The chances of that are extremely remote.  Fail to win tomorrow, and they'd need to beat THREE of those final five team.

I have to say though i thought brentford were good today. They were very organised especially at the back.

I think their league position is a false postion. Mbeumlo looks like a top player
Have always been impressed with him when ive seen him. Would love him here

If Spurs win tomorrow then they're level on points with a game in hand. So surely all they have to do is equal our results, at best, and at some point they have an actual free hit too?

What is clear, as is always the case after a disappointing result, some people need to have some perspective.

This is at least the 3rd time we've handed 4th place to Spurs in the past month & to date they've always handed it back.

We'll finish where we deserve to & it'll most likely be 5th. Hopefully that will be enough for Champions League qualification.
