Positives - we didn't lose, and we can score goals.

Too many negatives - no leadership. We're far too soft. Mcginn and Luiz, we need more from that pair. Carlos and Torres looked like they'd been on ket. We run around like headless chickens at times, yet started today at such a dreary pace. We didn't look organised to me which for an Emery team is a bit worrying.

The opening-day aberration at Newcastle is forgotten, but at least that kind of thrashing does you no damage in this particular table. Subsequent comfy wins over Everton, Burnley, Brighton, West Ham and Fulham never really looked like doing so either. Coming from behind to beat Palace was a nice change as well, while they gratefully accepted the generous gifts offered by Spurs’ centre-backless wonders. Manchester City and Arsenal have both been vanquished 1-0 at Villa Park, although Sheffield United predictably proved a tougher nut to crack.

It was a clear yellow card. The only person to be angry at there is Luiz who has let his teammates down and needlessly got himself suspended for 2 games.

Agree. However, it was the manner in which the yellow card was produced that I am pissed off about.

Two poor teams share the points. Unai threw away the blueprint at the end of the year and since then we've struggled. Today feels like a defeat but if I'm honest I shouldn't be surprised with the result. At least we fought to the end but we're limping into the Champions League rather than charging there, assuming 5th place qualifies.

The only teams that are robotic in their consistency in the final 15 games of the season usually are the ones that win the title. Poor result today but not a loss, onto 60, and still a lot of games to beat Spurs.

We miss a genuine captain, someone to give shit to players when required and to gee others up when needed. Mings was that man, McGinn is not. Losing Kamara was massive and its going to show more and more in the run in. I'd be delighted with 5th, I couldn't give a shit if Spurs get 4th but would be gutted if United nick 5th. If Utd lose tomorrow then 8 points should do it.
