“We play Aston Villa at 20:15, then 12:30 vs Crystal Palace Saturday, 12:30! After we go to Madrid on Tuesday.”

For all his genius, Pep and his masters have yet to find a way to cheat their way out of actually having to play the games.

I’d only they’d had some transfer money to spend on building out their squad. Poor souls.

This sort of shit winds me up a treat.  Ferguson used to say the same.  If you don't want to play so many games, throw the kids into the cups games, don't be so successful. I don't hear that twunt moaning when they win the trophies?  Are Coventry moaning?  They have to play 46 games before the League and FA cups and might get into the play offs.  Shut it Pep you cheating knobshaft.

We will be going into this game to get something. Spurs have WHAM! at the Ridgley Arena and could be in 4th place before we kick off.

Emery will not want to cede that position to them, even knowing they have a hard run coming where we can take it back.

They'll either batter us or Pep will overthink and give us a chance. The trouble is that we have an overthinker too.

Well we will probably lose as they didnt have grealish rodri or KDB at VP. But its a free hit. We need to keep score down though as GD could be vital come end of season

Keep the score down? What's the matter with you? We've beaten them once.

Erm we were at home

They didnt have rodri, grealish or KVB in that game. Yes it was a deserved win that day but come get real its going to be a very tough game where we are likely to lose this one as its at tgwir place. Remind we when we last win there?

There is "nothing wrong with me" just being a realist.

I don't understand why people keep saying this game is a free hit. It isn't. Every team plays 38 games and this is one of them. It's an opportunity to get three points.

Think we'll need 3 or 4 wins from the Brentford, Bournemouth, Chelsea, Brighton and Palace games. Let's just say anything we get from the other 3 games will be a bonus.

You re making it sound as if we shouldn't be in the same league as them. At the time of typing this, we're 4 points behind them.

Anyway, as you're so convinced we're going to lose and we should keep the score down, then you won't be on here moaning if it happens. No siree.

I think we’re going to have to hope today is an emotional high for them and then they hit a drop, ideally with a couple of short-term injuries. If we get anything it’s a massive bonus, but we could really do without getting thumped.

I haven’t received my e-ticket for Man City away either. It’s a little more comforting to know that I am not the only one. FWIW I have emailed AVFC today asking when the tickets are being sent out and will report back here if/when I hear anything. That said, with Monday being a Bank Holiday I am not expecting a reply until Tuesday at the earliest. Ideally, we will have our tickets by then.

Btw I fancy us to get a draw on Wednesday which I will be very happy with.

Other than Ollie's fitness being a question, I'd assume we line up much the same as yesterday. (If McGinn is still banned?)

I'd start Digne over Moreno, but I'm guessing Emery won't.

No idea what we do upfront if Ollie can't play. If it was anyone else we were playing I'd nearly give Zaniolo a go.

Think it's a cert Digne will start. I expect Digne, Duran and Zaniolo will. We won't be playing for a clean sheet anyway. Extra days rest hopefully be of some benefit.
