Gary O'Neill is taking crumbs of comfort for their victories in the possession and Xg results.

I was at the funeral of of great friend of mine this afternonn so did not watch the game. It was an emotional day and i got home an hour ago and checked what Villa had done. Seeing the victory made me fucking happy. I realized how much this club mean to me.
Have a great week end all.
UTV.

As has been noted, it was a shaky first 20 minutes with virtually all of Wolves play coming down our left side.

Moreno is definitiely off the boil and although Rogers did some good runs and showed attacking intent, his help in defence isn't great as yet.

Digne should definitely be starting at the moment.

The second half was comfortable though and we managed a game that we had to win quite well.

Duran played really well and caused all sorts of problems. Digne starts next game, no brainier and only one of Diaby or Bailey, can't have both of them at City. Four wins to guarantee it I reckon so a free hit at City.

When do Spurs play their extra game? I don't think I'll feel comfortable until that's out of the way and we're back on level pegging.

Chelsea away most likely either Monday, April 22nd or Monday, May 13th. Apparently UEFA don't like PL games on the same night as their competitions so those are the mostly dates available. No confirmation as of yet.

May 13th is very late, hopefully they play it, and lose     it in April. Ideally they'd drop a few more points before that and it won't matter, but I'd feel more comfortable if we had a 3 point lead and were on the same number of games.

A clean-sheet to go with the win is also fantastic. We've let teams in too often with meaningless consolation goals this season.

First 20 wolves tried to make it a war but we grew into it and took over.
Rogers had a couple of Viera's like surges in the first half. Zaniola made a great impact.
Martinez made an amazing save at 0-0  from their LB. and konsa's little dink was like the old cantona classic

I am really liking the look and potential of Rodgers.
For me, he has a little bit of a look of Collymore about him.

My condolences also Scovilla.

Regarding the game, another good win, Wolves didn't really put up much of a fight. Moreno is having a torrid time and needs a break on the bench for a game or two. Rogers is a talent and Zaniolo looked impressive too when they came on. A routine win and keeps the pressure on Spurs. Great to see JPA there too !

My biggest gripe with this game was the continued drivel emanating from the mouths of Peter Drury and Lee Dixon on US comms. Drury is one of the worst commentators I've ever heard, absolute garbage...and Dixon well, nuff said.
