They've brought in about half a billion (not an exaggeration) in player sales in the last four years. They've spent far more, but the rules allow for that. Given their huge squad, they'll have no problem selling again staying within the rules in future seasons.

Hmm not so sure about that. They paying hige wages on long term contracts. I cant see alot of clubs paying the same wages which means chelsea will have to either pay part of their wages or are stuck with them.

Barring palmer who else has gone up in value ?

Maybe Maduweke

Pretty poor 2 players out of 50 odd. This is why their bubble is going to burst at some stage

Significantly different to ours since Emery took over. Struggle to recoup fees on Gerrards older signings. Other than that wouldn't even like to think of the increase in value

Emi - minimum 3 times
Konsa - 4 times
Ollie - 2.5 - 3 times
McGinn - 15-20 times.
Kamara. Ramsey and Tielemans huge mark ups as no initial outlay.
Bailey - probably double
Rogers - already 4-5 times

Getting on for half a billion uplift

Since unai has come in as you say rob we have done some fantastic business as your examples above. Certainly better than under gerrard. We have gone from shopping at lidl to waitrose.

Chelsea on other hand just rolling the dice and hoping for the best. I read that chalobah is in a 7 year contract if no one comes in for him they are stuck with his value dropping as he cant get a game as so many players.  This is going to happen with so many of their players i think

Unai only bought one of those players though Dem. And I think we were lucky that Saudi Arabia came calling for Diaby, because I think otherwise this year he'd have started to look like an expensive mistake.

Youri and Rogers.

Risso main point he has improved practically every single player including Diaby and Luiz. Increased their value of some of them massively.

Interesting to see what he does with the ones who haven't played much under him - Buendia, Mings, Kamara and Barkley - re-integrating them into the first team squad as none are guaranteed starters.

We played Chelsea 4 times last season and although it was one win each I’ve said before they were the best team we played by a distance
Poch got them going and playing some decent stuff looking dangerous, they would have been a proper threat to the top 4 this season if he had stayed

As it is they’ve ripped it all up and started again they’ve got absolute twats running the football club and long may it continue

A top manager looks at that squad, tells the board not to buy anyone else, chooses 25-27 players and tells them to sell the rest. There is enough talent to finish top 3 in there. Just no direction.

Indeed.

It's great, isn't it?

It's just mind bogglingly bonkers. Out wide they looked really scary end of last season with Madueke, Mudryk, Palmer coming in, Sterling playing OK etc. Scoring for fun. Then they go and sign Neto and Felix. Why??? I can only assume Mendes is literally now just milking Clearlake or whatever they are called for every last penny he can, because it is so easy for him.

I can share and explain as there seems to be a lot of Chelsea talk. And a lot of it’s misunderstood.
And it’s all this talk of Chelsea that keeps them relevant to other club supporters up and down the UK and across the world talking about them which is exactly part of their policy to be at forefront of Premier League discussions!!

So I had a contact at Chelsea throughout Potter's tenure. They were all told they would be there for a long time to gradually build up the playing group and have enough time to succeed. What happened was that the owners provided a lot of input in bits and pieces, which, while understood,  increased the pressure.

It was made clear the owners are tremendously ambitious but it’s in a different way than our owners. They want to be leaders, and if they can't do so literally as the league's top team, they believe there are other options, such as policy, and want other Premier League clubs to follow suit. They aim to incorporate concepts from American sports that they believe make it more appealing to the less engaged. The big deal to them is new ideas and they did a lot of future planning aiming to be so called pioneers.

It’s a lot to get around as it’s quite a dynamic shift from traditional football club but there aim is taking it to a direction to be at the forefront. The current list of players is similar to the NFL 53 roster, which they as a club are comfortable with and expect all coaching and playing staff to be. Of course it’s been continually said that Soccer will evolve to a deep squad based game with rolling subs and tactical time out periods, player exchange , all star matches, matches in US and that it’s only the threat of the Saudi League that challenges the ever increasing US influence upon the Premier League brand .

They definitely improved as time went on, they ended the season with five straight wins and one defeat in fifteen.

Utterly baffled as they would have been a right menace under Poch this season.
2nd half of season they had a bad night v Arsenal and 2 no shows at Wembley. Beat us comfortably in the Cup and drew in League after when we played well and scraped a draw.

I remember Cole Palmer saying that qualifying for the Conference was a positive thing for them, and they needed to use it as a stepping stone on the way back to being at the top where they should be (his words, not mine).

It seemed like a very level headed and mature attitude to where they were, but it looks like the people running the club don't have as much sense as a 21 year old whose been there 5 minutes.

Gundogan is on his way out of Barca. I'd absolutely take him for a year or two. Still a quality player with experience of winning the Champions League etc.

I thought the same when I saw it, rumours are he might go back to Citeh though and suspect his wages might be beyond us.

That's the thing. He's probably on at least double our highest earner, if not more. Still a man can dream.

Maresca wants a patient build-up from the back too and their fans were getting on their backs about the build-up being too slow. Could be fun watching them come apart.

Gundogan's going back to Citeh isn't he? That's what Miguel Delaney (Independent) said on the radio yesterday anyway.

They wernt for me. I think liverpool at anfield was best performance by the other team.

I think the vp game we just ran out of steam 2nd half and let them dominate us
A large part of that result was thanks to gallagher who they are selling
