Whilst we have addressed the squad size - I would like us to add a few players of real quality ideally a right back or cb and a luiz replacement and competition from diaby / Bailey

Currently are starting 11 is weaker then last year and injuries - youri seems a bit injury prone - and an injury to him leaves us with a make shift central midfield

Rogers is also perhaps going to end up in a more central striking position; maybe not during next season.

I just mentioned this in the Archer thread. Watkins and Duran (if he stays) are going to miss a fair few of the preseason games. It will be telling, I think, who Emery plays up front in them. He'll have to experiment out of necessity, but it may give us an idea of what his thinking is for some players.

I read on here our 2024 form was 10th . Given we will be missing a few come August i'm hoping for 1 or 2 top drawer signings in the next 2-3 weeks.

9th but 9pts off Chelsea in 4th with a game in hand. 3 pts lead than United, but with huge injury issues.

sell Diaby and Duran, could get £80mil for them. Could easily replace them for that.

Deal agreed with Everton for Onana. £50m per David Ornstein. He’s very knowledgable. Hoping this happens

Holy shit.

Fine player I think. And young, room to improve.

Didn’t he make his debut for them at Villa park and forced Digne into the own goal?

I haven’t really noticed him myself but he’s 22 and first pick in a good Belgium team, and he seems to get great reviews so bring it on.

£80m should guarantee replacing one but I’m not sure both.

But maybe one player is all we need, a genuine (second) striker that could cover Watkins when needed but also play in Diaby’s role.  A player like Felix/Depay? (but probably neither of them).  Jota?

Morgan, Philogene, Buendia, Ramsey, McGinn and Tielemans can also play the ten role when needed.

I think he's crap in all honesty. Tall dude who will give us some height in the box but can't say he's ever stood out for club or country. £50 mill seems a lot for him. Will Everton take Archer or someone off us for £20 million or is there a clever Philogene deal to be done here after Everton wanted him?
