Looks like Duran could be next out of the door as stories of his departure to Chelsea are heating up.

I'm not a huge fan, but I would go for Gallagher as part of that too. Good leader, and McGinn isn't getting younger. Got goals in him too.

yeh I would want that and I think Chelsea also need that to happen. While losing Doug is shit, adding Barkley, McKinnie and possibly Gallagher adds a lot of depth and quality.

Aston Villa defender wants to leave the team over Emery's contract extension

Left-back Alex Moreno has failed to establish himself in the Villans' main squad and has faced a lack of game time this past season, prompting him to leave the team, according to the Birmingham World citing Spanish media.

The 31-year-old Spanish defender realises that he has no future with Emery at Aston Villa and wants to return to Real Betis, from whom he moved to England. His desire to return to his former club is so great that he is even prepared to take a pay cut.

Our turnover of players this year could be mad

I'm with you on that, Oz. I'd like to see SJM given some proper rest this summer after the Euros, having Barkley and the younger Gallagher and McKennie around should hopefully allow him to be eased back in. I just hope Gallagher doesn't decide to stay at Chelsea and sign a new contract.

That’s nonsense, he was injured for considerable periods and mostly played before that.

It seems an odd perspective to take, just say you’d prefer to live in Seville.

The Gallagher stuff seems to have died down, but maybe that's because we have been focusing on the Luiz deal.

If Chelsea do want Duran, and we know they are prepared to let Gallagher go, then it could be on the table.

I'm just not sure how much Gallagher wants to come and join us when he could carry on playing at the club he supports for 12 months and then have a lot of options as a free agent.

To be fair, the way Digne performed, it wouldn't be so bad for him to stay. I did wonder whether this might happen.

Anyway.

Out
Luiz
Duran

IN
McKennie
Iling Junior
Barkley
Gallagher
Abraham

Wouldn't be a bad start.

Potentially Cash out and a right-back upgrade too.

Feels like a situation where we're going to have to wait until the window is closed before knowing whether anything was a good deal or not. Dougie swapped for McK and Illing Jr doesn't sound fantastic business in itself, but I think there's going to be a fair bit of juggling going on with transfers this summer.

Although i suppose there's the fact we could be up 3 players and 20mil while only losing 1. Maybe...

I think any decision by Gallagher is officially on-hold until after the Euros - so basically until the end of the month.

I’d prefer the LB who was at Dortmund last year above Gallagher (which might free up either Digne or Moreno leaving).

Gallagher doesn’t solve the DCM hole and Maatsen likely to be cheaper despite his form since January.

I like Maatsen too but they want too much for him.

Really, being Dutch and not having played much (for Chelsea) I thought this might be a chance to bag a bargain.
