Saw some Italian reports that a couple of Serie A clubs are interested in Zaniolo for next season. Probably best for all involved. Just hasn't worked out here.

Signing a 17 yr old Colombian kid, John Edwin Montano apparently. He’s been on trial with us.

Looks like its done

Welcome!

He looks very good, I could see him being developed into the Ramsey role of floating on the left side. Clearly not one for now though and I'd suggest we might see him at Vitoria before he plays for us.

He looked good compared to some other kids. However, and also like kids of that age, he also looked very greedy in some of his play. Obviously he has better skills, but also seemed to decide he was the to take on 5 players etc. Hopefully he grows out of that otherwise he is just another Adama Traore.

Cole Palmer is some player you’d think a half decent club might be after him.
Wasn't he offered to us as a make-weight in the Grealish deal? - valued at £10m. We turned it down.

Is that true? Or one of those rumours that comes out years after the fact? I mean £100m for Grealish looks like great business already, but £90m and Cole Palmer for Grealish would look like the best deal of all time.

Think the rumour was we were offered Tommy Doyle who's now not doing very much at Wolves.

The only grain of comfort we can gain from our horrific injury list this year is that we have approx 150 million quid worth of players sitting in reserve already. Be like getting 4 new and established signings in the next transfer window.

I'm convinced that with a full squad available this year we would of been challenging strongly for the title.

A good place to be with FFP stifling most clubs.

Retain our spine, buy an extra right full back, hire an extra physio and nurse and we are set for 2024 -2025.

Continuity is good and we are in a better position than most.

We already have an extra right back. I'd hope we'll give him at least a chance in pre-season before we sign someone to start ahead of him.

For signings I'd like another centre mid to replace Donk as the alternative to Kamara, obviously they'd be the first choice for a big chunk of the season and would give us chance to not rush him back and still give Tim games.

I think they offered us Jack Grealish.

I wonder if that's the position that we look to just bring in a body as cheaply as possible to give us another option there. It's hard to see a player that puts either Luiz or Kamara out of the team that would be joining us, so it would be someone with the experience to come in when needed.

Brownhill at Burnley and Ndidi at Leicester would be the obvious ones who are out of contract this summer, but I'm not sure either of them are really an upgrade on Dendoncker.

We've heavily scouted Alan Varela at Porto for the Defensive Midfield position.

£60m release clause apparently, and Liverpool were sniffing around which might become more likley if Amorim takes over. Sounds a bit unlikely as far as we're concerned.
