Ike Athens. Powk Salonika. etc. I've always assumed that it was just said as the three different lettersThe inconsistencies of foreign club nomenclature. It's Athlitiki Enosis Konstantinoupoleos, or the Athletic Union of Constantinople. In Greek they go Ike. But if you want to spell out the English letters you probabaly want to call them Ay - You - See. Greek name, Greek pronunciation. If you're not doing the Greek, translate the lot. But probably just do the Greek. I reckon if everyone just calls them whatever they want, things will probably be fine in the end.
